history
Feminists of Winnipeg began as a small pandemic project on Instagram—a platform to share, learn, and educate others about the intersectionality of feminism. I felt that Winnipeg was missing a Gen Z-driven activist community, especially one with a presence in print.
Over the years, my little Instagram account became deeply intertwined with my schoolwork. This eventually led to my final university project: creating a full zine to raise awareness about identity and gender performance.

Throughout the process, I discovered the joy and creativity involved in curating and designing a zine. Watching the community grow along the way was incredibly rewarding, and it solidified my passion for continuing this work.
